While visiting, cross ‘learning how to surf’ off your to-do list! Learn surf techniques, safety rules and surf-break etiquette under the guidance of certified lifeguards and surf instructors. Choose either a small-group or private lesson, or if surfing isn’t up your alley, try stand-up paddleboarding instead! A bit easier than surfing, it’s still a great way to enjoy the beach while you’re on Oahu.
Never ever paddleboarded before? This is for you! This is our Beginner Class. This is a private activity so just you, your Private Group and your Guide/Guides.You’ll start out with a brief lesson on the shore. Then you will be helped into the ocean. Remember, your guides are there every step of the way. Next is a quick review of the shore lesson on the water, then you will be stand up paddleboarding in the heart of "Turtle Town" on the pristine coastline of Wailea-Makena! This experience is perfect for teaching new paddlers and is also fun for experienced paddlers. You will be given a beginner or refresher lesson on paddleboarding/kayaking. You will be given a guided tour on beautiful spring-fed waters where you can experience the real Orlando. You can see fish, turtles, birds, and the calming experience of being out in nature. We paddle on lakes that have amazing fresh kitchen restaurants where you can sit down with your guide who will share pictures with you!

One of the world’s fastest-growing sports, paddleboarding is great fun for all ages and easy to learn. You’ll be given some basic training, but once you set off, freedom’s yours! You’ll be surrounded by some of Scotland’s most incredible views, and you can explore the many islands, find hidden sandy beaches, and more. On arrival, you’ll be greeted by one of Loch Lomond Leisure’s staff members, who’ll ask you to complete some basic paperwork. You’ll then be issued with an optional wetsuit and compulsory buoyancy aid each, before meeting the BCU-qualified coaching staff. You’ll receive a safety induction and some basic training, and then it’s up to you to enjoy your paddleboarding exactly as you wish! Whether that’s paddling amongst the stunning sights, exploring the many islands or finding hidden beaches, this is a unique adventure that won’t soon be forgotten. Participant guidelines Minimum age: 12 (under 18s must be accompanied by a paying adult) Maximum weight: 18 stone (114kg) Participants must complete booking form and waiver You must be in good health with a basic level of fitness You also need to have a basic swimming ability The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary Availability The experience is available on selected dates March to October. Exclusions may apply We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability. Please allow 2 hours 30 minutes for the full experience. Participant must arrive 30 minutes prior to pre-booked start time. This allows time to book you in, fill out the necessary paperwork, changing time, land lesson and fit all participants with lifejackets. What should I wear? You are advised to wear swimwear with a T-shirt or thermal top or wetsuit if you have one, and trainers. Please take a change of clothing, footwear and a towel and a bag to hold all of your belongings. A buoyancy aid will be provided and must be worn. A wet?suit is not included but will be available to hire for additional cost of £2 per person. What about the weather? Cancellation due to inclement weather is rare and will be decided at the sole discretion of Loch Lomond Leisure Scotland Ltd. The decision to cancel will be based on safety grounds and will only happen in the event of extreme weather conditions such as gale force winds. They do not cancel due to rain or cold. If Loch Lomond Leisure Scotland Ltd chose to cancel you will be offered an alternative date. Additional information There is a pay-and-display car park in the village. There is storage for belongings and changing facilities on site. What about insurance? The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence. Surf’s up in Muizenberg! Come and enjoy a Surf lesson (or just hire the gear if you can surf already) or try your hand at SUPing (Stand up Paddleboarding) either wave-riding or flat water. After a hot shower and a cup of coffee/hot chocolate, you make your way through to the quaint fishing village where you will have time to wander around the antique stores and art shops. Lunch will be booked at the Harbour House Restaurant with the most spectacular views of the ocean and waves pounding right outside. After lunch then it’s a visit to the Penguins and if time allows then a wander around the naval town of Simonstown before returning to your accommodation.
Enjoy this private, guided paddleboard tour through the world famous Biltmore Estate! Your guide will tell you the history of the Biltmore and help spot local area wildlife like otters, herons, turtles, osprey, eagles, black bear, and deer. After meeting your guide at Asheville Outdoor Center you'll enjoy a shuttle in an air conditioned van to the starting point at Bent Creek, where you'll receive a lesson and expert instruction from your certified paddleboard instructor. Once you feel confident and comfortable on the board you'll follow your guide on a 2.5 hour private paddle down the river. This section of river is beautifully forested and offers views of the Biltmore Estate, which is a Châteauesque-style mansion built by George Washington Vanderbilt II. You'll also learn expert paddleboarding tips and finish back at Asheville Outdoor Center within minutes of restaurants and breweries.
