During this hands on lesson, we will share some traditional recipes we always seen in our families. Antipasti with a varietal of bruschette and cheese, meat ragù, handmade pasta (tagliatelle, gnocchi and more) and tiramisù are the dishes we'll prepare and eat together. Our cooking classes start at 10 am from Tuesday to Friday and last four/five hours.
A journey into Rome’s traditionally “popular” district of Testaccio with your excellent guide Milva, a gastronome, editor of a book of gastronomy and italian cuisine historian. Learn to prepare handmade pasta and other local recipes and enjoy the meal.You will start the lesson preparing the dough for lasagna, then you will roll it out and fill the dressing before the baking. Then, learn how to prepare the dough for tagliatelle with their condiments. Once the work is completed, you will enjoy the meal and the dishes tasting with the chef. You will also learn to combine the local recipes with fine Italian wine, which of course you will taste. After the lesson, you will receive a paper with all the recipes prepared with the chef.
Join your local host Patrizia at her family’s apartment located in the center of Florence in a traditional building built in 1759. During your hands-on cooking lesson, Patrizia will teach you traditional Italian dishes from Florence and Italy’s Emilia Romagna Region. You will prepare an appetizer, a first course, typically a fresh pasta like tagliatelle, ravioli, or gnocchi, a second course of meat and dessert. Patrizia specializes in seasonal dishes that bring out the flavors of the region – in the summer you might learn to make sauces with fresh tomatoes, while in the winter months you might enjoy seasonal winter vegetables like artichokes. Your cooking lesson will last about 2 ½ hours; after you finish cooking, sit down together to enjoy your meal and some delicious Italian wine with your welcoming host in her beautiful home. Join you host Pio in his kitchen and learn to make fresh Bolognese pasta - from tagliatelle to tortellini or passatelli - from scratch! In your pasta making lesson you will learn how to roll, cut and cook pasta for a delightful meal that may include a couple of dishes prepared in advance. The cooking portion of your experience will last about an hour before you sit down to enjoy the authentic Italian meal you helped prepare.Pio likes to pay homage to his roots, and often includes traditional Pugliese dishes as well, such as orecchiette with turnip greens.
